Technical wine descriptions
Exige is the leading wine of the range. The name "exige" means “high ambition” which reflects the objective of the winery and the wine maker.
Selection and a blend of the best plots of Syrah, with different ages, are used for this wine. Part of the wine is kept barrelled for eight months and the other part kept in the vat. A careful selection of different types of wood barrels is used to refine the complexity of the Syrah while the fruit is kept due to the ageing in the vat.
A classical type of wine for ageing, however if you do happen to drink this wine young you will in no doubt be delighted by its powerful aromas and subtleness… this is one of the amazing features of our Minervois terroir !
